What is an "Alternate Zip Code"? An alternate zip code is utilized for shipping calculations. If you enter an alternate zip code into your product category detail page, the system will utilize that zip code as the ship from location, for any products ordered on that category. Shipping calculators are dynamic and utilize your product weight and basic account information, including your default zip code for initial shipping calculations. You can of course set which shipping carriers and methods you wish to utilize under the "Shipping Settings" in your control panel.
