Artwork Specifications
All info you should know to get a good print service.
Preferred Software: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Pagemaker, Macromedia Freehand, CorelDraw and QuarkXpress.
Non-gradient artworks (Vector based artworks for screen print jobs) must be in Adobe Illustrator (.ai), editable EPS, Macromedia Freehand (.fh) or CorelDraw (.cdr) files.
Logos always must be given in vector based artworks*. Otherwise must be in editable EPS on transparent background in final size or higher, CMYK color and minimum resolution of 250** dpi. Preferable resolution is 300 dpi.
Images used in vector based softwares* if are going to be linked, they must be given in a folder called "images" or "pictures" and non broken links for them.
Photographic or images containing gradients (artworks for sublimation jobs) must be in PSD files. Preferably in layers, this will aid in production if slight adjustments need to be made.
PSD files should be in CMYK mode.
If artwork needs to use customize ink (Pantone©), image should be generated as DCS2 format. In vector softwares all colors MUST be specified in Color List Window, CMYK and Pantone©, depending on each one.
PSD files should be set to a minimum resolution of 250** dpi. Preferable resolution is 300 dpi.
In Photoshop, all text must be RASTERIZED, otherwise font family or/and source must be given.
In vector based softwares all text must be converted into OUTLINES, otherwise font family or/and source must be given.
For Coral Draw uses, artwork can be saved as Adobe Illustrator or Macromedia Freehand. NOTE before saving, make sure all fonts used are converted into curves, otherwise font family or/and source must be given.
